Default flexform issue - Mac beta 2.99

it's me again! i'm following the flexform video tutorial (based on beta 2.94)

i've created my base skeleton, selected all the elements and then in the 'utilities' section of the modeling tab i've chosen 'create flexform groups...'

and nothing happens. i get no dialog box dropdown (as in the video) and therefore no option to rename the flexform group name. when i go to the group tab i find no flexform groups have been created.

    thanks for the help!

    Hello tbabcock123,

    Just checked -- Yes, it's a Bug.
Occurred in the latest release (2.9.9.d -- 09.14.10)... unfortunately common case of one bug fix spawning a new bug.

The bug essentially makes that particular Modeling Utils pop-up dead.
It will be fixed in the next Mac Beta (These features are not in the Win beta yet). I plan on releasing that Mac Beta by Tuesday.

You should be able to pick up you work where you left off.

    Best Wishes (and apologies),
    Darrel

I noticed if I put an object in a group by itself and make it a key member and then copy it, it will make a unique group for each new item.

So before you start building the framework put the rod and sphere each in a group and make them key members an you will be good to go.

This is some good advice, I stumbled over this thread and gave it yesterday a try ... now I can proceed ... maybe restart
