Ctrl+Alt+Scroll - Crash
v3.0.6 - was trying to adjust perspective. Ctrl+Alt (ok) as soon as I touched the scroll wheel ... CTD. "... has encountered and error and must exit"
Win 7 64bit.

Having Problems as well
Hi Dan,
I'm running the 64 bit version of Groboto with W7 64bit and I'm having big problems with the ctrl- scrollwheel zoom feature, it simply judders for a few frames and then dies, the alt-L zoom is crazy also!!! I'm guessing this is a bug of some sort. Hopefully Boris can confirm this and we can wait for it to be resolved in the Windows/ Mac upgrade the boys are working on...

Dan, nzapegore,
I have Win 7 64bit too, and I've never seen anything like this. What exactly happens when you use Alt-L?

Um Wierd
Hi Boris...
Well I can confirm that the "ctrl" scroll wheel does work oddly and it seems to depend on the size and complexity of the model, as I scroll the object zooms in but I can't zoom straight back out and the zoom last for a spin of the wheel and then stops you have to press the ctrl and spin the wheel of fortune again to get it to move again, it's a bit like trying to get a fish to bite a fly, and on my spacecraft model it don't work at all. As for the "alt-l" and "l" shortcuts well yesterday they where crazy as hell today they are working fine, most odd.
I'm on W7 64 bit running the 3.06 64 bit version, I have a Quadro FX 1800 graphics card with 768mb onboard ram and the system has 12gigs of ram...not sure whats going on? could it simply be a display error open GL thingy?

Win 7 x64, ATI 5770, 8GB of ram, 32 bit groboto 3.0.6 here, same problem. ctrl+wheel doesn't zoom (or zooms very little) and causes crash often. Using the zoom icon on the navigation widget works great.
I'll see if I can trigger a full process dump next time it happens.

nzapegore, Mora,
Maybe it's just rendering cannot keep up with scrolling the wheel. Does it look better in Quickline (rightmost) rendering mode, which is much faster than others? This doesn't explain crashes, though. We should look into this idea of a debug build.

using 3.0.9 now and win 7 64-bit .... this bug is still present. Using a different nVidia card now as well. Is the windows version just not getting any love? Ive had Grob crash on me now 6-7 times in one hour. I started to jump in again cause of the new meshing tools but its almost unusable for me right now. And keep in mind im just playing around with one or two primatives. Not even building anything complex

Dan,
Apparently this is related to OpenGL and video card, and unchecking Poly Camera and AutoBot Edit in Display Settings should fix it.
