Image sizes on the forums

The limits on uploaded image sizes seem a bit severe, (I'm particularly thinking pixels, though file sizes are also tight).

That would not even cover the majority of wallpaper sizes, and I'm sure we all like beautiful graphic wallpapers...

Is there a chance that this could be increased?
Is it OK to link in forum posts to larger images hosted elsewhere?

Agree, more than a bit severe and needs changing please.

The limit of, what is it, 4MB in total per forum user, or in the folio, for all pictures is just slightly above useless, especially for posting quality res and size images. Generally most forums have a limit related to a single posting of 4MB.
