Solved. It seems that in V3, only single surface objects can be used as a negative (Outside Body). Think of it like nurbs objects where cubes are 6 surfaces and cones are 2 etc...
Is there any reason that toroids can't be used as Outside Body booleans? Are there any other primitives with this problem?
