1. Bat Slider

Swing this bat (see Using a Slider, below) with the mouse. Try to hit the Target Disks [4] with your batted Balls as they slide down.

2. Ball Feeder

Two small balls [3] are repeatedly ‘served up’ in front of the Bat by this device.

3. Balls

(Shown in flight) Hit these with the Bat [1].

4. Target Discs

Hit these with the Balls [3]. The goal is to knock them ‘off-course’ so they tumble and collide with the various Scoring Pads [5].

5. Scoring Pads

Knock the Target Discs into these objects to score (by deflecting them with batted balls). The highest scores come from the red center button and white buttons nearest the bat.

batterFall Game Play:

The goal is to hit the small balls [3], with the Bat [1], driving them towards the Target Discs [4]. You get a few points for hitting the Discs, but the big scores come when the Discs hit the Scoring pads [5]. The Scoring Pads closest to the bat give the most points. Note that hitting the Scoring Pads directly with the balls yields small scores.

Tips:

1. •Wait until the small balls reach the top of their arc and begin to fall before swinging.
   

2. •Don’t swing hard.
   

3. •With practice you will learn to control timing and direction with the Bat. With a bit of skill, you can hit a falling Disc almost anywhere during its slide.
   

4. •You can recycle the Balls with the ‘Z’ key at any time, but note that this simply forces them to recycle immediately, interrupting their current motion.
   

Using a Slider Control:

This Gizmo has one slider: the Bat [1].

A Gizmo Slider is an object controlled by moving the mouse. For best results, click once on the Slider object and release. This locks the mouse onto the slider allowing you to control it by moving the mouse (without having to hold the mouse button down). Click anywhere else to unlock the mouse.
