BBot-Spiky-draw

BuildBots are a type of DrawBot. They are capable of many different things depending on their settings - sort of like those all-in-1 Pliers/ Screwdriver/Knife tools.

This variation, ‘BuildBot-1-draw’, draws randomizing cones on the surface of other objects. It locates them on the touched surface, and orients them perpendicular to that surface.

groBo-HowTo Movie - You can simply play it, but it’s also set up for random access with the slider. Move to various points to see what’s happening in the zoomed inset, and read the text comments.

These HowTo movies are quite plain — no textures or cool lighting effects. However, that’s just for the sake of clarity — all of this can be done in real time with full-quality textures, fog & additional lights in place. (much bigger, cleaner and smoother than these compressed movies can show).

Note: this movie was made during groBoto 2.0 development. There are some minor interface differences in the final version.
