Morph Animation - Easier done than said

Active - When checked, any changes you make to Lights, Camera, Fog, or Background Color are saved in the current keyframe.

Animation 1, 2, 3

• Drag AutoBots from the Library

• Edit settings of one or more Bots

• Edit Morph Settings

Of course, there is a lot more you can do like:

• Animate Lights & Camera.

• Animate Fog.

• Move the Bot through space as it morphs.

• Animate a Bot’s colors and shapes.

• Mix different Bot types.

• Add static ‘background’ geometry

It’s all pretty easy, yet there is nearly infinite depth and variety.

We will continue to add demo movies, and demo files to the beta forum site, covering all of these possibilities.

Animate Panel - This is where you set up your Morph Sequence... the first step in creating an animation.

Next comes the Bot Options Panel, where you alter the Bot’s settings.

You’ll need to learn about the Morph Settings Panel (as seen in the animation above) before you can really start having fun. Sorry, no docs yet.... very soon. In the mean time try using Bot Settings (vs. Object Location -- near the top of that panel, you can see me make that switch in the demo movie). NOTE: that option is only available when morphing two Bots of the same type.

Morph Settings - Open Morph Settings Panel to edit timing and kinetics of the morphs.

Animation Strip & Keyframes - Drag Bots here (AutoBots only) from the Library to add them to the sequence. Click to select a bots for editing. Rearrange by dragging. Clone with (Option-Drag Mac) (Shift-Drag PC).

Preview - Run the fast polygon preview.

Note: this movie was made during groBoto 2.0 development. There are some minor interface differences in the final version.
